A Lifetime of Expertise: Meet Miss Angelina

At the heart of our school is Miss Angelina Spurrier. For over 20 years, Angelina has been a driving force within the London ballet education scene. As a long-standing member of the ISTD Cecchetti , her focus never wavers from the individual pupil; she honors every student’s personal journey with equal dedication, ensuring that those seeking a beautiful hobby receive the same care and precision as those pursuing a serious route in ballet.

Angelina’s own training is truly exceptional. She began as a petit rat de l’Opéra at the Paris Opera Ballet School, where as a child she participated in professional rehearsals and productions including Nureyev’s Romeo and Juliet rehearsals. She also danced for President Mitterrand and once performed alongside the legendary Gene Kelly (as seen in below where she is standing next to him). Her teacher’s training continued at the Royal Ballet Upper School, TTC followed by a professional career in Germany before she returned to London to teach and share that experience with the next generation.

Angelina’s own training is extensive; she is a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD), I Path, and ISTD (Imperial), ISTD (Cecchetti) and Rambert Grades. However, despite this vast breadth of knowledge across multiple disciplines, she specifically chose the Cecchetti method for her schools.

Angelina has successfully guided children through both Class examinations and Grade examinations in London, witnessing first hand how this method shapes not just dancers, but confident, creative, expressive young individuals.
