Our Classes
Pre-School
2 1/2 - 4 Yrs
For our youngest dancers, we don't just teach children to dance; we teach them to move with confidence and curiosity. Our Pre-School classes are designed to introduce the joy of movement in a way that feels like an adventure. One week we might be exploring the depths of an underwater kingdom, and the next, expressing the floating quality of a dandelion seed and the journey it takes as it swirls across the landscape. Every lesson is an invitation to explore self expression, 'dance vocabulary', storytelling, musical appreciation and creative play to unlock your child's imagination

Minis
5-7 Yrs
As your child enters full-time education, their dance training takes a step forward. Our Minis include Reception - Pre-Primary and Years 1 & 2- Primary. These classes are offered across Ballet and Rambert Creative Contemporary Dance.
While every step of the dance journey is vital, we view this stage as the true foundation of a young dancer’s education.

Juniors
7-11 Yrs
Our Juniors section, covering Standard 1 to Standard 4, is where the true beauty of the Cecchetti Method begins to shine. This is a crucial time for ballet classes for children, as they are now physically capable of more complex movements.
We focus heavily on technical precision and correct alignment. Our teachers are trained to ensure that every student is working safely, preventing injuries by teaching them 'how muscles work'. We focus, less on 'what we look like' but more on 'what we feel like', it’s about building a strong, healthy body.

TEENS
11-14 Yrs
For our students aged 11 to 14, the training moves into Standard 5 & 6. This is a time of significant growth, both technically and personally. At this level, a higher degree of commitment is encouraged for those pupils who are looking to progress to the exciting stage of getting their first 'preparation for pointe work' demi pointe shoes.

Our Babies Ballet and Creative Movers classes (starting from 2.5 years) are a wonderful introduction to the studio. We focus on basic motor skills, musicality, storytelling and following instructions, all while having a huge amount of fun! We love seeing our ‘little swans’ take their first steps into the world of ballet. It’s a lasting investment in their coordination and social confidence.

Cecchetti Classical Ballet (ISTD Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing)
As your child grows, they move into more structured Cecchetti Ballet training. This method is world-renowned for its purity of line and focus on the internal ‘feeling’ of the dancer.
Miss Angelina is also a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD), I Path, ISTD (Imperial & Cecchetti), and Rambert Grades, and despite this vast breadth of knowledge and experience across multiple disciplines, she specifically chose the Cecchetti method for her school.
Over the years Angelina has successfully guided 1000’s of children through both Class examinations and Grade examinations in the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Method in London, witnessing first hand how this method shapes not just dancers, but confident, creative, expressive young individuals.
Rambert Creative Movers & Contemporary Dance
We also offer the Rambert Creative Movers program, which provides a fantastic foundation for Contemporary Dance and Creative Dance and Choreography,
Our Rambert classes provide the skillset, strength, and movement vocabulary aligned with ballet, but with a contemporary and creative approach! It’s all about energy and exploration, getting their minds curious and their bodies strong, balanced, and coordinated.

A Legacy of Excellence: Meet Our Director, Angelina Spurrier
Every great dance school has a heart, and ours is our Director of Dance, Angelina Spurrier. Angelina’s experience in the world of dance brings depth and care to every class we offer, but her focus has always been on how that experience can benefit her pupils.
Angelina began her training at the age of three, much like many of our students today. Her dedication led her to a scholarship at the Paris Opera Ballet School at just eight years old. There, she trained as a “petit rat de l’Opéra”, the traditional name for the school’s young dancers. During her time in Paris, she had the opportunity to perform for President Mitterrand and to take part in Rudolf Nureyev’s rehearsals for Romeo and Juliet.
One of the memorable moments of her early career was meeting and dancing with the legendary Gene Kelly in a tribute to An American in Paris. Her training continued back in England at The Royal Ballet Upper School TTC and the Central School of Ballet, eventually leading her to professional stages across Germany.
Today, Angelina brings that training and experience to Canada Water with a strong commitment to supporting each student’s progress. She isn’t just a director; she is a mentor who has successfully run her own schools for decades and holds a first-class honours degree in the Theory and Practice of Dance. Her commitment to the Cecchetti Ballet method ensures that our students receive a technical foundation that is both historically rich and physically safe. Over the years, Angelina has taught across London from Swiss Cottage to Clapham and even in Surrey, including Woking, giving her a broad understanding of the different communities and families she supports through dance.
