Ballet Classes for Children Aged 4 - 7 years in London

The True Foundation of a Dancer's Education

The years between four and seven are, in our view, the most important stage of a child’s dance training. This is where real foundations are built, and at CWS Dance, we take that seriously.

Our Minis programme covers Reception through to Years 1 and 2, with classes offered across both Ballet and Rambert Creative Contemporary Dance. These are the years where a child develops the strength, coordination, and muscle memory that will support everything they do in dance, and in life, from this point forward.

What the Minis Programme Covers

Our Minis classes progress through two stages of the ballet curriculum:

Why the Cecchetti Method?

CWS Dance founder Angelina Spurrier trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School’s Teachers Training Course, chose the Cecchetti method specifically for what it produces, not just technically capable dancers, but confident, disciplined, creative young people.

The Cecchetti method is known for its clarity, its emphasis on correct alignment, and its attention to the whole body. Introduced gradually and appropriately for each age group, it gives children a physical blueprint that serves them for life, whether they continue in dance or not.
