Ballet Classes for Children Aged 7–11 in London

Where the Beauty of Ballet Really Begins
Our Juniors programme covering Standards 1 to 4 of the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Method, is where a child’s ballet training enters a genuinely exciting new phase.
By the age of seven, children are physically capable of more complex movements, deeper focus, and real technical development. At CWS Dance, this is where we begin to introduce the elements that make ballet truly beautiful: line, artistry, alignment, and the discipline of building a strong, healthy body.
What the Juniors Programme Covers

Our Approach
We focus heavily on technical precision and correct alignment at Juniors level. Our teachers are trained not just to teach ballet but to teach it safely, explaining how muscles work, why certain positions protect the body, and building strength in the right way.
We focus less on “what we look like” and more on “what we feel like”. It is about building a strong, healthy body, one that will serve each student whether they dance for life or eventually move on to other pursuits.
This means that by the time our Junior students progress, they are not just technically capable. They are physically confident, body-aware, and resilient.

Two Paths, Both Equally Valued
By the time students reach Standards 3 and 4, we recognise that children start to develop their own unique relationship with dance. We support every path:
The Dedicated Dancer
For students who want to go further, we provide expertise and opportunity: guidance on the UK’s leading Associate Programmes and vocational pathways, performance and competition opportunities, and a focused environment for high-level examination work.
The Passionate Weekly Dancer
For many, dance is simply a vital and joyful constant in a busy life. Our Standard 3 and 4 classes offer a sophisticated weekly outlet, a place to maintain strength and flexibility, decompress from academic pressure, and share a love of ballet with a close-knit group of peers.
Both paths are taught with the same quality of instruction and the same genuine care.
