Ballet Classes for Teenagers in London (Ages 11–14)

A Pivotal Stage in a Dancer's Journey
The years between 11 and 14 bring significant change, physically, socially, and emotionally. At CWS Dance, our Teens programme is designed to meet students exactly where they are, supporting both their technical development and their personal growth.
Our Teens classes cover Standards 5 and 6 of the Cecchetti Ballet Syllabus, the stage where training becomes more demanding, more refined, and, for many students, more rewarding than ever.
What the Teens Ballet Programme Covers

More Than Just Dance
Our dance classes for teenagers provide something that is genuinely hard to find at this age: a supportive community where effort is valued, progress is visible, and friendships are real.
The skills developed in our Teens classes, focus, perseverance, resilience, and physical discipline, extend well beyond the studio. Many of our students tell us that the habits they build in ballet help them in their school lives, their studies, and their confidence generally.
At an age when things can feel uncertain, the studio is a constant. Something that is theirs.

Two Paths Forward
By Standard 5 and 6 level, our students have their own clear sense of where they want to go. We support both directions equally:
Pursuing Dance Further
For students with ambitions in dance, we offer:
– Guidance on UK Associate Programmes and vocational training routes
– Opportunities to perform and compete
– Advanced technical training for high-level Cecchetti examinations
– Preparation for auditions, scholarships, and dance school applications (see also: Private Lessons with Miss Angelina)
Dancing for Life
For students who simply love ballet and want to continue through their secondary school years, our Teens classes offer a challenging, welcoming environment where they can maintain their training, their fitness, and their connection to the school, without pressure to pursue anything professionally.

About Our Founder
CWS Dance was founded by Angelina Spurrier, trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School’s Teachers Training Course. She holds memberships across RAD, I Path, ISTD (Imperial), ISTD (Cecchetti), and Rambert Grades.
Over the years, Angelina has guided thousands of students through the Cecchetti syllabus, watching them grow from tentative beginners into confident, accomplished dancers and young adults.
